5 Books to Read This Halloween

It's spooky season and I have loved picking up some creepy, ghostly books this month.

Here are the five books I would recommend around this spooky time of year...

Bella Bright and the Ghost Game

This is a great new release this year, perfect for middle grade readers who fancy reading about a spooky, ghostly game of hide and seek. You can read my full review from the blog tour here.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder

This sat on my bookshelf for ages but I finally read it this past week and I'm now annoyed with myself that I took so long to get around to reading it. A great YA book for those who like true crime!

Hocus Pocus (and the all-new sequel)

I had to include this! With Hocus Pocus being one of my favourite Halloween films, I didn't really need to read this book. It was more for the sequel (which is different to the second film) and is a nice, lighter Halloween read.

The Burning

This one isn't necessarily a "Halloween" book but this is one of my top reads from a few years ago, linking to the witch trials. The witch trials have always fascinated me and I would definitely recommend this YA book.

Frost Hollow Hall

My final recommendation is a book by one of my all-time favourite authors: Emma Carroll. Again, this isn't exactly a "Halloween" book but it involves a ghost, a creepy hall and solving the mystery of a young heir's death.

Do you have any good Halloween-related book recommendations?
