The Taylor Swift 'Lover' Book Tag (ORIGINAL)

Taylor Swift's new album is out and I have pretty much had it on repeat since the moment I woke up on release day. I've been a fan of Taylor and her music since her very first album and every time she releases a new album I am always confident that I will love it.

I decided that I wanted to do a book tag the day after the album was released, so here it is! Please feel free to have a go at this book tag, just don't forget to tag me in it so I can see which books you picked for each prompt.

Read on to see the prompts and answers I came up with for each song ...
Watership Down by Richard Adams
This is a book that I forgot about, that I really liked when I was younger, but I rediscovered it when I saw a really beautiful edition of it online and just had to have it. My mum actually bought it for me as a gift and it's one of the prettiest books I own.

Take A Chance On Me by Beth Garrod
This was a book that I read this summer whilst sitting in the garden. It was a perfect summertime read, with a holiday romance and some truly hilarious lines.  I laughed so much reading this. If you're looking for a fun summer read - even though it's autumn now - then I definitely recommend this one.

Feyre & Rhysand from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas
I couldn't pick anyone else for this. I love how their relationship was built and how they are with each other throughout the series, picking on each other and having fun but also being deeply in love and battling hard times together. They are the ultimate couple!

Aelin from the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas
Another Sarah J Maas book here (it will happen a lot, I do apologise but I just love her books and will always find a way to include them in a book tag!) featuring one of the strongest female characters I've ever come across. Physically and mentally strong, she is incredible!

Suzanne from Beautiful Broken Things and Fierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard
I loved these books by Sara Barnard and Suzanne was such a brilliantly-written character. I liked reading her story and experiencing her growing up and getting past the problems she faced. I liked Beautiful Broken Things but I was excited when Fierce Fragile Hearts came out so I could read a book focussing on her.

My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
In this book the girl falls for the boy who literally lives next door to her so this was quite an easy pick for me. It's a lovely, summery YA romance with a forbidden love element to it. I actually really want to reread this now after mentioning it here.

To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
I won't say too much about this book because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who wants to read it, but there is an event that takes place in this book that causes rumours and to spread about two characters. It's worth a read if you like a YA romance, and the Netflix movie is also great!

Azriel from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas
I can't exactly pinpoint why I felt a connection with Azriel when I first read about him in A Court of Mist and Fury, but I loved finding out more about him in the third book. Maybe it's an emotional thing because of his horrible backstory with how he was treated but I can't help but love him!

Sleepless in Manhattan by Sarah Morgan
I wanted to pick a book with a street or town, but the first book I came across on my bookshelf had 'Manhattan' in the title. I love Sarah Morgan's books, especially the ones set in New York. They are always such fun, enjoyable reads and are also books that I can read over and over again.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
This is only one of a handful of books that I finished and then didn't know what to do with myself. I thought I was going to end up in a reading slump after this because of the emotional impact it had. It is quite a hard read at times (it deals with domestic abuse) but I would count it as one of my favourite books.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling
I had a few books in mind for this prompt but the first one I saw on my shelf as I typed up this blog post was Harry Potter. I immediately thought of King's Cross Station, despite only a small part of it being set in London. The other London-based books that I thought of are on my TBR list so haven't actually read.

Midnight Sun by Trish Cook
I haven't actually read this book yet, it has been on my TBR list for a long time and I really wanted to read it before the film came out but I didn't get around to it (I have seen the film though!) I will still read it at some point but I know I'm in for a heartbreaking read.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas
I know, I know, another Sarah J Maas book! I just can't help it! I've been rereading the Throne of Glass series so her books and characters are on my mind a lot when I think of books. I just can't pick another book for this prompt, it's too perfect!

Proud by Various Authors
I have so many books that I love and could mention to you in relation to this prompt but I thought what better book to go with than Proud. It contains a collection of short stories and poems and I think every single one of them is so well-written. I highly recommend this book!

Cassian and Nesta from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas
OK, so I promise this is the last Sarah J Maas book pick because I know it must be getting repetitive and boring. I just can't help but think of her books for these questions and after reading A Court of Frost and Starlight I just want them together.

Cath from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
I could name a lot of characters that I wish I was like in part, but I am pretty proud to say that overall I relate to Cath from Fangirl because of her love of reading and writing. I did university online so I can't relate to her experience exactly, but if I did go to uni I know it may have been pretty similar.

Robin Wilde from Wilde Like Me by Louise Pentland
There are so many characters I could pick here, from a variety of genres and stories, but I chose to go for Robin Wilde from Louise Pentland's trilogy. She just seems like such a fun, loveable person be around She would also be very supportive, as she was to many characters across the three books in this series.

Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
Again, I could name a lot of Sarah J Maas characters here, but I promised I wouldn't do that anymore so I've gone for a classic book instead. I recently reread this and fell in love with it all over again. It's just such a childhood classic for me and I will enjoy rereading it over and over.
