Makeup Monday: My Five Favourite Eyeshadow Palettes

Let's jump right into it, here are my top five eyeshadow palettes:

5. Makeup Revolution Palette in 'Give Them Nightmares', £6.00:
I love all of the eyeshadows from this brand, and although I'm not very daring with colours - usually sticking to light shimmers or golds and browns - when I swatched these eyeshadows in Superdrug, I fell in love. You can create a really fun, different look with these, but all of the colours work together so well. I've had palettes with colours in them before when you have this one bold shadow that really stands out but you don't know what to do with it as it doesn't work with the other colours, but luckily these are made to go together. Buy it here.

4. Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette, £32.00:
This eyeshadow palette has been described as one of the best to wear on your wedding day. The colours are so soft and neutral, they blend beautifully and they last a long time. 'Nudie' is a great base colour, and my two overall favourites to use are 'Honey Pot' and 'Push Up' I do love my shimmers. Buy it here.

3. Makeup Revolution Palette in 'Iconic 2', £4.00:
This palette is the best value for money and the shadows have incredible pigmentation. I thought with them being cheaper that they might not last as long or crease really easily, but I was so wrong. I use this palette at least twice a week, with it's brilliant mix of matte shades and beautiful shimmers. Plus, it's a great dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. Buy it here.
2. Tanya Burr Cosmetics Eye Palette in 'Galaxy', £6.00:
All of the Tanya Burr eye palettes are brilliant, especially the 'Candy Glam' one that she brought out as a limited edition last Christmas. I could have put that palette in this top five but I didn't want to write about something you can no longer purchase, so I chose my favourite permanent palette instead. I created a lovely, silvery, smoky eye look using this palette the other week and I was so happy with how it turned out. Buy it here.
1. Smashbox Shape Matters Palette, £40.00:
Now this is an expensive palette, but it is worth the money. It's not just an eyeshadow palette, as it has bronzers and brow powders in here too, plus one of the most incredible highlighters that I have ever used. But with the eyeshadow in this there are so many different looks you can create. I love the 'Vanilla' shade as a base, 'Totally Nude' and 'Stripped' are great transition colours, 'Champagne' and 'platinum' are two of the prettiest gold shades I've ever used, and the black shade in this palette, called 'Blackout', is the best black I've ever used. If you want to splash out on a palette, I can't recommend this one enough. Buy it here.

Last week: Single eyeshadows
Next week: Blushers

See you next Monday for more favourites!
